Description:
Glendale Woodturners Guild (GWG), a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, will be displaying the work of several of its members. From bowls to vases to decorative works of art, the pieces will feature varieties of wood from the exotic to recycled scrap wood.
GWG is an organization that provides a forum for those interested in woodturning. Its goal is not only to inspire and educate but also to share the technical and artistic aspects of lathe-turned work with its own members and the larger community. This gallery of wood art is offered through a project called Glendale Area Temporary Exhibitions (GATE), a collaboration between the City of Glendale and owners of local property for the purpose of using temporarily available space to further cultural awareness in the community.
