Heart of Worship Community Church presents JOSEPH THE DREAMER – THE MUSICAL
The musical, inspired by the Old Testament, is about Joseph, one of the twelve sons of Jacob. At a young age he had a dream of one day becoming a ruler. His dream, together with the fact that he was the favored son, made his brothers jealous and they hated him. One day they plotted to kill him, but they ended up selling him into slavery instead. He served as a slave under Potiphar in Egypt but was eventually thrown into prison because of false accusations against him.
In a turn of events, Joseph became a ruler of Egypt and was in a position to inflict revenge on those who had mistreated him, including his brothers. Instead, he extended forgiveness. Ultimately, the story of Joseph the Dreamer is a story about love and forgiveness and about the healing of relationships and reconciliation.
Running time is 1 hour 45 minutes. The performance is suitable for all ages. Photo/video recording by patrons is not allowed.
