The Second Saturday Series at the Glendale City Seventh-day Adventist church on February 11, 2012 at 4 PM will feature the Redlands Choral Artists under the direction of Dr. Jean-Sebastien Vallee.
Dedicated to the highest quality of musical performance, Redlands Choral Artists seeks to enrich the Inland Empire with exceptional interpretations of traditional and innovative chamber choral works. We are pleased to bring this wonderful group of artists to the Los Angeles area. The sixteen singers who compose this group come from across California. They are marked by virtuosity, versatility and a commitment to excellence. Their music spans six centuries.
Active conductor, scholar, clinician and adjudicator, Dr Jean-Sebastien Vallee is one of the nations’s leading new figures in the world of choral music. Dr. Vallee is the Director of Choral Studies at Califonia State University, Los Angeles, where he teaches conducting both at the undergraduate and graduate levels in addition to conducting the University’s three choral ensembles. Jean-Sebastien has conducted more than thirty ensembles in Canada and the United States.
Composers for this concert will include: Bach, Mozart, Brahms and Mendlessohn.
The concert will be followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall allowing guests to meet the artists.
